PLANNING FOR SUCCESS
Every individual wants to succeed in life, business, marriage and ministry but many do not know the route to succeed.
Many individuals wish to succeed in life, but are not committed to the demands for success.
Many individuals wish to succeed in life, but they are lazy and lazy people achieve nothing.
Many individuals wish to succeed in life, but they have NO PLANS TO SUCCEED.
Success is the outward and physical result of an exercise or the accomplishment of a vision or purpose.
Dr Myles Munroe says – the greatest enemy of success is fear of failure.
It is a potential success of everything like a tree in a seed. The future of the tree is inside the seed.
Success is also the completion and fulfilment of the purpose of God for your destiny.
PLANNING in my definition is Taking strategic steps that will chart the path for success
Planning – 5Ps OF SUCCESS – PROPER PLANNING PREVENTS POOR PERFORMANCE
Without a plan you plan to fail automatically.
” he who fails to plan is planning to fail” Sir Winston Churchill.
Ecclesiastes 9 – 11. I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Ecclesiastes 3 – 1. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: –
Every one of us has a purpose ie the things we want to achieve but without a plan, it may not be accomplished. Don’t leave your life to time and chance!
A planless farmer will be a failure – because he will do the right things with the right intentions but in the WRONG SEASON. So there will be no harvest – leading to frustration.
Also, with proper planning, the farmer will know when adverse conditions or weather come or when the rain will not fall and so knows how to make provisions to bring water through alternative means. And if the ground is not favourable he will know how to add manure to the ground for great output.
For a person to avoid hunger – you go to work, earn a wage and be able to buy food to feed yourself and family.
Work is, therefore, the escape route to avoid hunger – he that does not work, should not eat – 2 Thessalonians 3:10-11. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
What plan have you made for our life to improve this year much more next 5 years?
Don’t be a victim of poor planning or no planning at all – there will be no success!
Matthew 13:3-9 – the SEED IS CONSTANT – the word is constant for
– way side — fowls devoured it
— Stony places —scorched and withered away.
—Thorns – choked by the thorns

When we want to achieve a thing, positive thoughts are not enough. There have to be positive feelings and POSITIVE ACTIONS BY ALL.
Paul said —- PAUL PLANTED AND APPOLOS WATERED THEN GOD BRINGS THE INCREASE.
1 Corinthians 3:6. I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
THE INCREASE IS ALWAYS AFTER YOUR LABOUR. THE BLESSINGS IS ALWAYS AFTER YOUR OWN PART IS OBEYED THEN GOD IS COMMITTED TO DELIVER.
You may be thinking and saying – why do we need to grow and get bigger? Pastor, we are happy with you and we are blessed by the sermons and your service. Praise God for that. But think of this, with a bigger church, number etc we are able to attract reknown ministers / musical artists act and your lives are positively impacted and enriched.
Now tell me, can your church afford to invite bishop Oye depo, Creflo Dollar or the musician you know well without having the headache about paying their travel and hotel expenses alone ??? Think about it!
The same principle applies to your destiny.
—Nice talks and sweet words don’t pay bills
— talking big will not make you big
– Positive confessions and amen to positive prayers WITHOUT ACTIONS ON YOUR PART MEAN NOT MUCH
– SAYING I WILL BE GREAT WITHOUT STEPS TO GREATNESS LEADS TO NO CHANGE.
– FAITH FOR PROSPERITY MEANS I AM TAKING STEPS THAT WILL DELIVER MY PROSPERITY.
— AS A CHURCH THE REVELATION FOR INCREASE AND ENLARGEMENT WILL NOT CHANGE IF WE DONT TAKE POSITIVE AND PROACTIVE STEPS.
The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord
—A FAT PERSON CONFESSING AND BELIEVING TO LOSE WEIGHT WITHOUT REAL STEPS WILL LEAD TO OBESITY
1 Tim 1:17 – God is the only wise God
Some of us are able to do exceedingly and achieve more than what we know because God has deposited and called you to greater things.
Jesus Christ was trained as a carpenters son but never worked a day as a carpenter – rather when he appeared in the temple and read the scripture all the scribes were surprised.
With every wise plan, you need a strategy to accomplish all you have planned –
