“Faith Is The Victory”

Image result for faith

In 1 John 5:4, the Bible reads, “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith”. In order for anybody to have a successful life, the very first thing they need is faith. We need faith in God. We need faith in His Son, Jesus. We need faith in His promises, which come directly from His word. It is through hearing the words of God that faith is established, strengthened, & maintained (Romans 10:17). If we place our lives in the hands of Almighty God, then our faith will be rewarded in ways that we can scarcely comprehend. For this reason, we are commanded to walk by faith & not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) because as human beings, we are finite, our vision is clouded, & our understanding is limited. As Christians, we fail when we suddenly begin to rely solely on our own resources &/or we start to seek success outside the boundaries of God’s holy commandments. The Bible is right! We will reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7); we will reap a bitter harvest, not only for ourselves, but those closest to us & whom we love are also affected. May I encourage you to trust God today & every day of your life. When we entrust our future to the Giver of all things good, then rest assured our future is secured, not only this day, but for all eternity. “Faith, as Paul saw it, was a living, flaming thing leading to surrender & obedience to the commandments of Christ”
