Philadelphia na kodi ya vinywaji

Katika mji wa Philadelphia nchini Marekani wameanza kutoza kodi ya vinywaji vyenye sukari na kaboni licha ya kuwepo kwa mamilioni ya kampeni zilizofanywa na kampuni za vinywaji baridi kutaka kufungwa.
Meya wa demokrasia ya Philadelphia,Jim Kenney alisema kodi hiyo itatumika kwenye maendeleo ya elimu na maeneo ya kupumzikia. Wakili wa afya wanasema vinywaji vyenye sukari vinasababisha watu kuongezeka uzito kupita kiasi na ugonjwa wa kisukari. Kodi hiyo imekosolewa vikali na wananchi wenye hali ya chini .Philadelphia ni mji wa pili baada ya mji wa Berkeley uliopo California kufanikiwa kuanzisha kutoza kodi ya aina hii.
